Daisy, Classic Broads Yacht

Daisy competes in the Three Rivers Race. 4th June 2005 (I owned this boat in 1976. As I was driving towards Acle today I saw a gaffer with 79 on the sail and realised that we were old friends, so I stopped to take some photos.)Posted by Hello

Renegade mast specification. (base blocks will not be reused) Posted by Hello

New mast step on existing plywood backing. I suggest making a new wood backing piece to fit. This will require cutting a larger rebate into the central frame. Posted by Hello

Renegade mast step removed. The original was held onto a piece of plywood by 6 machine screws. (You can see the nuts for 2 on the forward frame.) The ply was hed down by 6 woodscrews. Posted by Hello

Renegade mast step in situ (left is forward), with new one for comparison. Posted by Hello

Autumnal Renegade

Well, Renegade is back home on her mooring on the Orwell. By all accounts the trip back from the Solent was exhilarating with the ol’ gal just keeping ahead of an approaching gale. Well done Richard, Dennis Emma and friend.
